We do everything in our power to protect your information to the fullest.
Information security is increasingly important. As we as a society become more and more aware of the different ways our data can become vulnerable, we look to the companies we work with to keep it safe. Visceral Concepts places information security as a top priority. Here are some ways we keep your information safe.
Step one is that we monitor all information we take in. What exactly does that mean? It means we only take in and store information that is absolutely necessary to maintain your account. We never ask for social security numbers, tin numbers, bank account information, or any other sensitive data for our records. By doing so, we have reduced the likelihood of becoming a target for data theft, as we keep no information of value on our servers.
This includes your credit card information. All credit card payments are processed through Stripe, a secure platform designed by developers. This means that when you make a credit card payment, your card information does not pass through our servers, but instead is encrypted and passed through theirs. Your credit card information is neither read nor stored by our servers whatsoever.
Secondly, we take all steps to monitor the traffic to our site and servers in order to make sure there is no unauthorized attempt at accessing the information that we do keep. Our site is monitored 24 hours a day for SQL injection attacks, phishing, server re-directs, or any other activity that poses a risk. This helps reduce both the likelihood of success in the event of an attack, as well as reduce the time available to utilize stolen data in the event of a successful attack.
For the month of April we will be running our 30 Days of Answers series, where we answer 30 of the biggest questions people have for us before they do business with us. Tomorrow we’ll have another question and answer. See you then!
