Does your computer run slower than it used to? Does it seem to freeze up or have problems it didn't used to? Are you about ready to throw it out a 5th floor window? Computers can slow down for dozens of reasons. From unnecessary clutter on the hard drive to hardware failures, computer freezes and slowdowns can bring a halt to your day. But what do you do about it? Before you head to some big-box electronics store to buy your next system, we've got a suggestion. We recommend a PC tuneup.
You're in business. Maybe you've been in business for a while, and maybe you've just started up. Either way, you've (hopefully) attempted to begin building your brand. Like I share with all my clients, your client isn't really buying your product, they're buying your brand. With this as the case, it makes the most sense to invest good time and money in to assuring that your brand is solid, complete, and performing at full steam. This week I recommend a brand analysis.
If you've ever had to get an electronic device like a phone or tablet repaired, you know that the costs seem a little high. Most computer repairs don't cost as much as an iPad screen repair (from Apple). In fact, just the thought of damaging the screen on your device probably makes you a little nervous, doesn't it? I mean, it's usually around $150 for the repair, no matter what's broken. And that's only true if the insurance covers the repair. Otherwise it could be as much as $300-$400. That's nearly as much as getting a new one, which comes with its own list of anxieties. So today, I want to talk about the importance of a quality repair.
Today we can announce the companies that will be participating in our promotion. But first, here's how it works. We're going to be out for periods of time every day next week handing out these promotional packs. They'll include some neat stuff from us, plus specials offered by the participating companies below. We're looking to support local, small business and encourage you to spend your money with them instead of the big box stores. The difference you could make in one week could be the difference between life and death for a local business. Here's who is involved.
Last November, we held our first Small Business Saturday promotion. We had participants from all over the Chino Valley, as well as several neighboring communities. Each of our participants offered special coupons, promo items, and offers for our promotional deal pack, which we physically gave out to members of our community on Small Business Saturday. The promotion was warmly welcomed by the community, and many of the participants report customers seeking the SBS promotions. In light of that success, we'll be working during National Small Business Week to spread the same sort of success to (hopefully) more local businesses.
k, we've got a new feature for you to replace Throwback Thursday. Hopefully it's something you'll find a little more useful. We're introducing our Recommendation of the Week, which will be an overview of a product, service, or company that you may find helpful in running your small business.
For some reason, I deal with a large number of clients that have had poor past experiences. When I discuss these poor past experiences with the client, I can usually predict what was said by the previous service provider in every situation. But I wonder why my interaction with people who have had these poor past experiences is so frequent. Let's talk about it today.
Your business runs on a system, generally involving modern hardware and software designed to make your company run smoothly. Learning to use it is of major importance, as the lack of information can cripple your momentum. Let's talk about why it's important to learn.
