It’s Christmas Eve, and technically I’m off. Even though a small business owner is never off work, I’m not seeking new clients or working on sales today. I have a few items to clean up for some clients, and I have a few around the office type things to finish up. The work is minimal at best. I imagine it’s the same for most of you as well. It’s probably quiet around the office, and you’re basically doing end-of-year cleanup. That is, if you’re even at the office at all.
It’s a great time to make changes, like the ones we suggested Friday. However, it’s also a great time to plan for what’s coming in the new year. After Christmas, there are only 5 business days – Friday won’t really count, though – before 2015. Most companies and clients will be thinking about their New Years’ Party, or planning their resolutions. There usually isn’t much done in the line of sales or new clients over the last week of the year.
We’re making a simple suggestion this week. Take some time to consider what new products or programs 2015 might bring. Think about the new advertising campaigns you’ll be running. Plan out new social media strategies based on 2014’s data. Most importantly, make sure you have a plan to build your customer base early in the year. The sooner your growth begins, the better your year will be.
Here are some of the new resources you’ll be seeing in 2015:
We’ve finally worked out the details of our planned Visceral TV channel. Beginning January, we’ll release one episode per month.
